About DALS

Domestic Abuse Legal Services (DALS) helps survivors understand their legal rights, access protection and make informed decisions about their future. Our experienced family law solicitors offer sensitive, practical advice and work with domestic abuse organisations and support services.

How We Can Help

We provide advice and assistance with Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders, child arrangements and other family court applications, divorce and financial matters, and property disputes, including TOLATA claims. If you are unsure what legal support you need, please contact us to discuss your options.

Free Initial Legal Advice

Your initial legal advice with DALS is free of charge. We will explain your legal options and help you understand the next steps. If you need ongoing representation, we can assess whether you may qualify for Legal Aid and explain other funding options where appropriate.

In certain circumstances, ongoing legal advice and representation may also be available through our pro bono service, subject to individual assessment and availability.

Professional Referrals

We welcome referrals from refuges, domestic abuse support services, charities, IDVAs, social workers, helplines and other professionals. We aim to make access to specialist family law advice straightforward while respecting each survivor’s safety and contact preferences.
